Dr. Bridgette G. Cassidy earned her doctorate from the University of Florida. She has many years of experience in higher education supporting new and returning students in completing their college programs.
As a first-generation college student herself, Dr. Cassidy understands the power of community outreach and has spear-headed diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives by recruiting students from underrepresented groups, working with underrepresented students in the undergraduate and graduate programs.
Her experience as a professor, advisor, and administrator is the inspiration for Next Semester Consultation. Consistent across her various roles in higher education, Dr. Cassidy observed first-generation, new college students and non-traditional students face challenges in navigating the college and university environment.
She has developed a series of hands-on workshops that help students transition to college or university. Through the services offered by Next Semester Consultation, Dr. Cassidy hopes to help students meet their educational goals and improve their overall quality of life.
